Don’t you just love when you meet someone and feel like you’ve known them forever? When I met Sarah, that’s the feeling I got. She walked up and hugged me. Our online engagement had been just as warm, but feeling the same connection in person is truly special!
Sarah is just that kind of girl, and Matt is her perfect counterpart. They are the kind of couple that radiates light.
We met at Forest Park at the Grand Basin which is one of my very favorite spots in St. Louis!
I mean…..talk about perfection!
I had so much fun with these two during their engagement session! They even brought their sweet puppy, Remy. Have I mentioned how much I love when dogs are a part of your photo session?!
They had the cutest bandanna for Remy that said “My humans are getting married!”
Sarah and Matt went to the same college but didn’t start dating until after. A mutual friend set them up on a date and the rest is history!
A couple of years ago Matt and Sarah went to a concert and a band called Greeting Committee was opening for the Cold War kids. They really loved a song called “hands down” and it became their song.
Flash forward to March of this year, they went to see the Greeting Committee in concert. Matt proposed to Sarah during their song! I have goosebumps all over just thinking about it!
“Baby you’re hands down the best thing about me and baby I don’t know where I was, But I’m so glad you found me.” – Hands Down Lyrics by The Greeting Committee
And now you have the goosebumps too, right?
At the end of the session Sarah and I discussed stopping at this spot for a couple of more shots, and boy am I glad we did! They are some of my favorites from the entire session!
Sarah & Matt had so much fun during their session. There was so much laughter, joy, and romance, which is my favorite kind of session! These two are truly a very special couple and I’m so excited for their wedding this Fall!
XOXO,
Amy
