I take magical photos for romantic elopements, but I’m also loved for my timelines, location scouting and full-out guidance. Catch me on the beach and that’s my bliss.
When I was 18, my best friend went away to college two states away. I stayed in our hometown and commuted to a community college. This girl had been my BFF since I was 4 years old. To say I was terrified of the change and the possibility of losing our friendship is an understatement!
Then, when we were 20, she moved across the country to the East Coast. I was devastated again but long distance had become our new normal. This was before the age of texting and social media but we did pretty good at keeping in touch via phone and email and I was even able to make an annual trip to see her several years! Even though we were still very much long distance friends, I cherish so many of those trips because we got SO much quality time together!
Flash forward about 10 years (okay, maybe more like 15!), and here we are. We’re both married, working, and she has two sweet baby boys. Earlier this year she and her husband, Nathan, decided to buy Megan’s Grandmother’s historic home and move their family across the country back to our hometown! I was ecstatic for them. They are restoring this historic home and I absolutely cannot wait to see when it’s complete! Megan asked me to photograph them at their “new” home to document this milestone! It was an absolute honor!
There are some bonds that truly last a lifetime and I can safely say the one between Megan and I has stood the test of time. It’s remarkable to still have such a strong friendship and I couldn’t be more thankful!
Lifestyle Sessions are always so unique and a special way to document your journey. If you have a milestone you’d like to capture such as a new home, I’d love to hear from you!
