Maternity photography Orlando sessions always feel meaningful — but this one? Are you kidding me. This night with Ava, Nolan, and big-brother-to-be Lochlan was basically pure magic. There is something so special about documenting a family in this specific in-between season. The love is already established, the rhythm is already there. And yet, everything is about to change in the most beautiful way.

These aren’t just maternity photos. They’re specifically the first pages of a new chapter in their family history.

From Texas and Michigan to Florida

Ava is from Texas. Nolan is from Michigan. They met in college in New York and the rest is history. They moved to Florida a few years ago and started their own business together. Since then, they’ve built a beautiful life here. Their son, Lochlan, is the absolute sweetest. And in just a couple of months, they’ll be welcoming another little one into their family.

And Lochlan? An actual doll. He hugged, giggled, and he loved the flowers. He proudly loved on his mama’s growing belly like he already knows his new role.

I could have talked to Ava and Nolan all night. And I absolutely loved getting to capture the 3 of them for this special session. All in all, it was a session that reignited my creativity and I felt so grateful they chose me as their photographer.

When Kraft Azalea Shows Off

Kraft Azalea Garden was truly showing off the evening of their session. The light was glowy in that soft, wrapped-in-gold kind of way. The purple flowers were in bloom. The lake reflected the sunset perfectly. And somehow, the weather was flawless. Additionally, golden hour at Kraft Azalea never disappoints. However, when you pair that light with genuine connection, it becomes something else entirely. This is the absolute perfect time of year for a session anywhere in Central Florida, but especially at Kraft Azalea. We couldn’t have asked for more.

The Magic Is in the In-Between

What I love most about maternity sessions is this exact stage. You’re still a family of three. You still fit together the way you always have. But there’s anticipation in the air as well as movement toward something new. Ava and Nolan were so sweet together and you could see their excitement and anticipation as they played with Lochlan throughout the session. Witnessing a legacy in the making at Kraft Azalea Garden never gets old. It was truly an honor to capture this session for Ava and Nolan.
