I’m so excited to launch amybrittonphotography.com this week and in celebration I want to showcase my 5 favorite sessions of 2018!
2018 will always hold a very special place in my heart and looking back at these sessions makes me feel incredibly grateful. Thank you to all of my 2018 clients! I’m so excited for what’s in store for 2019!
The first is a family session! The Millburgs wanted to do a session at their gorgeous new home! And when I got there, it was like a photographer’s dream come true! They had a rustic barn, a huge beautiful yard, and even a fountain rock garden! With 3 young boys, I wasn’t sure how into the session they would be, but they were perfect angels! I also loved their dog, Norman, and LOVE when clients incorporate their dogs into their shoots! This is just the sweetest family and it was such an honor to document their move into their new home! What a great reason for a photo session!
Sara + Ryan was an incredibly sweet session. Sara and I have known each other for a few years and when I found out she was expecting a baby girl, I was incredibly excited for her. Then when she asked me to shoot her maternity session, I was beyond honored! We did the shoot at Bee Tree Park which just so happened to be the same location in which these two had their engagement session! I love incorporating locations that have meaning into a shoot! Pregnancy is such a special season in a couple’s life and I had such a perfect day with these two. They now have a beautiful baby girl! Congrats you two!
Next up Sara + Patrick. Sara found me on Instagram and wanted to do a session with their dog at a park and then head to a microbrewery for a beer! I absolutely LOVE this idea! Sara and Patrick are fairly new to St. Louis, so I recommended a park with a close microbrewery for them. We ended up at Lafayette Square Park and Square One Brewery. Lafayette Square is a very special park to me because it’s actually where my husband and I had our engagement session! We headed over to Square One and asked the staff if we could shoot on the patio. They were extremely enthusiastic and accommodating, even moving multiple tables for us! It was such a fun shoot!! I absolutely love incorporating something new into a shoot!
The Fox Family contacted me for a Fall Mini Session in early October. Mother Nature had different ideas. This actually ended up being a Christmas session! And boy, they did not disappoint. They showed up with 2 little girls in a green dress and a red dress, both with fur vests, leggings and boots! Does it get any cuter? (I didn’t even know they made fur vests for tiny girls!) We did the shoot at Forest Park in one of my favorite spots. The girls had so much fun posing and I loved capturing their sweetness!
Last but not least…April & Eric. I met April early in 2018. This was before she was pregnant and we talked about where we wanted to be within the next year. She wanted to be pregnant, and I wanted to quit my day job and start my photography business. Flash forward just SIX months later, and we both had gotten to where we wanted to be! When April contacted me to shoot her Maternity session, I was jumping for joy. It was an absolute honor to capture this special milestone for these two and I think I literally had butterflies for weeks after shooting this session. April and Eric welcomed their twins in early 2019, and I’m absolutely overjoyed for this sweet family!
