Pastel blue details, an oceanside tablescape and even two bridal looks — this elopement picnic combined elegance with effortless simplicity to create something incredible.
You know once in a while when feel like you were just meant to be somewhere? That’s exactly how I felt when I was shooting this dreamy elopement picnic at New Smyrna Beach. Everything we all love about modern seaside weddings was part of this elopement picnic — charcuterie, ocean views and candles too! If you’re looking to elope on the beach, by all means let’s document that oceanside experience together!
The simple setup of an elopement picnic turns any wedding into a statement piece. With a low-seated table, pillows, linens as well as delicious food — you’ll turn that overwhelming to-do list and “how do I feed my guests” into a casual, yet indulgent event that your guests will be sharing on their Instagram feeds. It’s that good.
Why do I love New Smyrna Beach? To start, it’s just a short drive from Orlando, making it easily accessible for me and my clients. Not only that, but the ample parking and relaxed vibe take all of the stress out of planning. I also love the beautiful tall grass you can find just across the beach from the water, making it seem like two locations in one! Start your wedding in the grass and end your golden hour photos down by the ocean, and you have two totally different styles for your photos!
Cathy and Jason are so sweet together, and you can really see their love shine through these photos. Jason was always making Cathy giggle, even showing off with a little twirl while they danced together. It was so heartwarming to see Jason make Cathy laugh so hard! There’s nothing better than a couple that has fun during their photos!
Cathy had two different looks, both equally as stunning! She started with a beautiful gown from Sorelle Vita Couture that was a show-stopper. Then her second dress had a more relaxed feel, which was perfect for the water. Having two dresses is such a great idea for brides. Not only did she get two different vibes and styles (a favorite for photos!), she wore a dress that she could get in the ocean with, which made for the most epic photos!
Cathy was glowing with her hair and makeup done by Beauty Couture Tampa. Those beautiful beach waves lasted the whole session. Her look was completed with the most darling flower crown from The Fancy Florals, the perfect touch for an elopement picnic. It gave me all of those whimsical vibes! The bridal bouquet from the Fancy Florals was equally as exquisite!
The pop up elopement picnic by Creative Expressions Events was a favorite detail of mine, and so perfect for eloping on the beach. It had that ideally light beachy feel with subtle nautical touches. Who doesn’t want a table for 2 on the beach for their elopement? It’s the perfect way to take a sweet moment with your new spouse just watching the waves, and of course, the beautiful sunset!
