My Favorite Things

Photography fills my heart and fuels my soul. I love serving my clients by capturing milestones they will treasure for the rest of their lives. My specialities include intimate weddings and elopements, maternity and newborn photography. If you are looking for a photographer in St. Louis, I'd love to hear from you!

When I'm not busy shooting, you can catch me hanging out with my husband, Will, and our dogs; Oliver & Maddie. We love trying new restaurants or cooking together at home. We live in St. Louis, but travel often! Some of our favorite spots we've visited are Savannah, St. Lucia, and Paris. We also love exploring national parks!

I can't wait to hear your story and bring you into this joyful experience!

Hi There! I'm Amy. I am a photographer in St. Louis. Most days you can find me working at home with my puppies or shooting sessions in the great outdoors. I am a natural light photographer mostly known for capturing joy, romance, love, and naturally sweet moments in life.

My favorite  things

Chocolate Cake - I'm a Connoisseur!

Travel - I'm completely addicted, but I have a fear of flying.

Coffee: with cream, lattes, cold brew, cappuccino, I want it all!

Best way to spend a day: On the water, with good food, good drinks, good music, and good company.

Champagne. It's always a good idea.

Sparkles - they make me feel fancy.

Nothing is more relaxing to me than the ocean.

Paris is the most magical place I've ever been.

Music - it's rare I do anything without music.

Big Magic - By Elizabeth Gilbert (It changed my entire life!)

My favorite Things

1. My husband and I got married in Savannah, GA. We fell in love with the city and had a destination wedding there. It was the best day ever.

2. My dogs mean the world to me. Oliver has been with me since I was 22 years old and Maddie is my little rescue girl.

3. I am the middle sister in a family of 3 girls.

4. I have been to every state in the continental U.S. except North Dakota and West Virginia. Random, right? If you need road trip advice, I'm your girl!

5. Two of my closest friends live in Los Angeles, which is like my 2nd home. You'll find me there often.

My journey to photography

Ever since I was a little girl growing up in rural southern IL, I remember the excitement I felt each time my parents took out their camera. It was the 80’s, and my parents were a bit ahead of their time, documenting the simple joys of each day. I kid you not, my dad would bring the big film camera, as well as a video camera, almost everywhere we went!

Because of the value of capturing moments was instilled in me at a young age, I was always the girl with the camera. While in school, I would switch my schedule to include any class that incorporated photography. But instead of pursuing photography as a career, I got a degree in Healthcare Management and landed a corporate job. I would sit in those cubicles day after day, at job after job, hoping something would fulfill my passion like photography did.

Years later, I was reading a book called "Big Magic" and something clicked within me. I realized it was 100% up to me to nourish this gift I've been given. After that, I leapt head first into this passion, completely immersed myself in it, and eventually, with lots of hard work, I traded in my cubicle in corporate America for a chance at chasing my biggest dream.

I feel a deeper level of purpose by photographing others and I feel incredibly grateful that I now get to live the life I always dreamed of. I photograph people who desire to have their lives beautifully documented. I am lucky to give them the gift of freezing moments in time.

Capturing memories for my clients brings me great joy and I want my clients to feel that joy not only during our shoot, but for years to come when they look back at their photos. I would love to hear your story and bring you into this joyful experience!
