When Elise and I first started planning her maternity session, she told me she wanted to have it in a field. At the time, it was early in 2020 and we had her session scheduled for March. There were several ideas of locations that would work. Then the shelter in place orders took effect and we weren’t able to shoot until May! The amount of changes nature made within those 2 months was extreme. But if there’s one thing I make every effort to achieve for my clients, it’s to bring their vision to life for their session. After lots of location scouting I was finally able to find a beautiful field for Elise and Vince’s maternity session at Busch Wildlife! The fact that this beautiful gem is just outside of St. Louis is such a pleasant surprise.
This session was unlike any session I had ever done, meeting my clients with a mask, and keeping our distance. But Elise and Vince rolled with and never missed a beat. They were up for anything and I absolutely love that! After months of not being able to shoot, this session reignited my creativity and I felt so lucky and grateful we were still able to make it happen. It also reminds me how much I truly love documenting maternity sessions and milestones for couples!
We got the chance to shoot at the 3 different spots within Busch Wildlife and their session was truly like a dream. I love that Elise and Vince were up for such an adventurous session! Elise was absolutely glowing and we found a beautiful sunset. Can you believe she’s having TWINS?! I’m overjoyed for them!
Elise & Vince – I hope you are able to look back on this incredibly sweet time of your life and feel like you’re frozen in time when you see these photos. Thank you for allowing me the huge honor of capturing this special milestone for you! I’m so excited for you to meet your babies in less than one month!
