I’ve known Allison literally her entire life and consider her to be like a little sister to me. Our families have been friends since our parents were teenagers! We’re two families with 3 daughters, (2 sets being the exact same age! and best friends since preschool) and our families have shared in every milestone of each other’s lives. So when Allie asked me to photograph her wedding, I was honored!
Allie & Sean are both incredibly close to their families and there were so many special family moments during their wedding day. Allie shared with me that a first look with her dad was one of the most important parts of her day. It was such a sweet and special moment. And Allie’s Grand Dad made the arbor for her ceremony!
Allie & Sean truly put each other first and you can see the deep love they have for each other. Once they were able to see each other during their first look, they were immediately more relaxed and at ease for the day. They wrote each other the sweetest letters and read them to each other right before the ceremony (not without tears!). When they read their letters I found out their love story goes all the way back to junior high!
The weather was perfect the entire day, and right after the ceremony there was a small rain shower. I was so concerned we were going to miss sunset portrait time due to the rain, but instead it ended quickly and we were given a beautiful rainbow! When you have the most gorgeous wedding day, a tiny rain shower, and then a beautiful rainbow appears at Bride & Groom Portrait time, I’d say that’s a good sign!
Allie & Sean left for a mini honeymoon after their wedding to Ohio. They have a goal to hike or camp in every state and found a really cool national park in Ohio! I absolutely love that they have set this goal together as a couple.
Congrats Allie & Sean! May your marriage be as beautifully blessed throughout your lives as it was on your wedding day.
