A Dream Session with Katie and John as a New Smyrna Beach Photographer

Where do I begin with this one… 3 locations, an outfit change, cake, champagne, the beach, and sunset with the absolute sweetest couple. This is the kind of session I dream about! 🤍 As a New Smyrna Beach photographer, I was thrilled when Katie and John contacted me to capture their 1st wedding anniversary.

Celebrating Love in New Smyrna Beach

Katie and John were in town at their second home in New Smyrna Beach to celebrate their anniversary, and they asked me, a New Smyrna Beach photographer, to shoot an anniversary session for them. It was pure magic.

Katie and John live in Ohio but recently purchased their gorgeous home in New Smyrna Beach. They travel here often. When I asked them why they chose New Smyrna Beach, Katie told me she grew up vacationing there with her family. Fun fact, so did I! Then she mentioned it is her dad’s favorite beach, and it just so happens to be my dad’s favorite beach too! I love finding so many things in common with my clients.

A Year of Love and Joy

Katie and John got married 1 year ago in an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family in Ohio. Celebrating one whole year of marriage, they chose to commemorate this milestone with photos.

Katie wanted to incorporate cake, champagne, photos at their home, photos on the trail across from their home, AND photos at the beach. This was literally a dream session for me, blending my favorite elements: cake, champagne, the beach, and amazing clients all in one. As a New Smyrna Beach photographer, moments like these are what I live for.

New Smyrna Beach Photographer: Capturing Memories at Their Beautiful Home

I was blown away by how beautiful their home is. We started there with gorgeous photos outside and in their kitchen, which was literally jaw dropping! It looks like something out of a design magazine! I quickly felt like I had known these two forever and felt so welcomed in their home. The love and warmth they shared was palpable, making the photoshoot even more special.

A Sunset Celebration at the Beach

Next, we headed to the beach and we got an epic sunset with the perfect weather for their photos! They brought champagne to the beach to celebrate and we had so much fun! Katie and John were up for anything and I could see how much fun they have together. We all laughed so much during this session. I love when my clients feel comfortable being themselves and having fun, there’s nothing better!

The golden hues of the setting sun provided a stunning backdrop, creating a magical atmosphere that perfectly captured their love and joy. As their New Smyrna Beach photographer, it was a delight to freeze these precious moments.
