A Magical Proposal at Kraft Azalea

Kraft Azalea is one of Orlando’s most beautiful and intimate locations for a proposal. I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Steve and Hailey’s special moment at this stunning park, and it was truly unforgettable. The stunning purple azaleas were in full bloom for their date, adding a breathtaking burst of color to their special moment. This is the prettiest time of year in the park, as the azaleas only last for a couple of weeks!

A Love Story That Spanned the Country

Steve and Hailey’s journey together began at a concert in Las Vegas. Despite living on opposite sides of the country—Steve in Ohio and Hailey in Washington—they made their long-distance relationship work by meeting up in different cities every month, how fun? After a year and a half of traveling to see each other, Steve took the leap and moved to Seattle so they could be together. Their love story is a testament to commitment and adventure!

Exploring Orlando Before the Big Moment

This was Steve and Hailey’s first time visiting Orlando, and they made the most of it! From the magic of Disney and Universal to the excitement of a Magic Game, they packed their trip with unforgettable memories. Little did Hailey know, the best memory was yet to come.

The Proposal Plan and a Last-Minute Change

Steve had been planning this proposal for a while, and everything was set—until the weather had other plans. Originally scheduled for the day before, we had to make a last-minute adjustment due to rain. Steve had told Hailey they were going on the Winter Park Boat Tour, but the rain caused the tour to be canceled, making it the perfect cover story! While I always try to avoid adding any stress to my clients, Steve trusted my recommendation to move the session. It paid off! The next day, we had perfect weather, creating the ideal setting for his surprise proposal.

As Steve got down on one knee beneath the towering cypress trees of Kraft Azalea, Hailey’s reaction was priceless. Completely surprised and overjoyed, her laughter and excitement lit up Kraft Azalea Park. It was a moment filled with pure love and happiness, and I was so honored to capture it.
