The story behind their Florida engagement photos

There are times when I’m floored in this little business of mine, and when Claire asked me to shoot her engagement session at the beach, that was exactly the case! See, we go way back. Our moms have been the best of friends since first grade. I got to hold Claire when she was a baby at her Grandma Bea’s house. I haven’t seen her in years and now he she is so incredibly beautiful and engaged to the man of her dreams! To say I was honored to capture these engagement photos at the beach for her is an understatement!

How they met

Claire and Sean went on their first date in Chicago shortly before the whole world shut down but they actually met in Naples the year before! Naples is a very special place to them where they spend a lot of time with their families, so what’s better than having their engagement photos there! I love when my clients choose locations that are truly meaningful to them. And even better that it was a location I could easily travel to!

Claire and Sean were so much fun during their session. They were extremely laid back and full of laughs. You could really see the love between the two of them shine through. These are my favorite kinds of couples. And Claire looked jaw dropping gorgeous! She was like a model throughout the whole session and I loved the dress she choose for her photos. It was literally the perfect beach dress! And Sean’s clothing choices complemented Claire’s perfectly.

These two really wanted to capture the sunset in these photos, and boy did that sunset come through! It was like cotton candy skies and I was actually able to capture some of that beauty through my lens. We celebrated with a champagne pop to end the night which is also such a great photo op. I also got to see all of Claire’s family which was so special! I only wish we had more time to catch up!
